You will learn how to use Squarespace Courses which is a feature specifically for course creators. If you are brand new to Squarespace and want to learn how to use 7.1 I can recommend my Simple Start course that teaches just that!

You can use Courses on any website plan, however, if you are on a personal plan you will have to purchase the Digital Products add-on.
If you are on a Business or Commerce Plan you can use Courses without the add-on by paying a 9% transaction fee and without the ability to upload videos. You can still embed videos from Vimeo or YouTube. This is a good option if you are just starting out and want to try it out without the commitment.
For lower transaction fees and video storage you can purchase the Digital Products add-on:

Squarespace Digital Products include Member Sites, Video pages and Courses.
A Member Site is essentially a folder behind a paywall where you can add unlimited pages and collections, such as a shop, blog, events or a portfolio.
Video pages are awesome for those who just sell videos.
Courses is specifically designed for course creators and includes an automatic course outline, slide-out sidebar and lesson tracking. You can style lessons like you style regular pages in Squarespace and add text, embed video, audio and PDF content.

Squarespace Courses is part of Digital Products which protect our website content behind a paywall. Your members can use a lesson tracker to check off completed lessons and there is a very nifty slide-out sidebar for easy course navigation.

You’ll have access for the lifetime of the course and for as long as I continue to run it. Given the technical nature of what I teach, content can evolve to the point where I need to change my approach. In the event that a course is retired you will be given 12 months notice, to ensure you have lots of time to complete it. A course will never just close down on you and disappear!
